Tom brings broad-based executive experience with global-leading publicly listed corporations, not-for-profits, and international organizations to his role as Managing Partner – Americas with Aligned Growth Partners, LLC.  Tom possesses an extensive background in advising boards of directors, executives, and senior leadership on human resources strategy, policy, and support services in a global and multi-cultural context.

Previously Tom served as Chief Human Resources Officer with the United Nations Mission in Liberia and the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. As well, Tom served as Vice President and held senior human resources executive positions for Pulse Engineering, Inc., EMC, The Gillette Company, and Denso International America. Tom was corporate Ethics Officer and the Human Resources advisor to the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors of Technitrol, Inc., parent company of Pulse Engineering, Inc.

Complementing his global human resources executive leaderships roles, Tom also held senior general management positions with The Gillette Company in Singapore and the Republic of Korea, where he delivered revenues ranging from US$16 million to US$92 million. Subsequent to those roles, Tom founded an executive search consultancy in Singapore.

Tom earned a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Pomona College and a Master of Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University. Tom also completed advance management and leadership course at Babson College and IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland. Tom is an executive member of the International Executive Resources Group (IERG) and is certified as a Global Business Leader. Tom is a member of the USA Board of Directors of Operation Eyesight Universal, an international development organization working to eliminate avoidable blindness and restore eyesight in developing countries.
